We rented an apartment for a week, and everything was well taken care of, new, air conditioning, etc., and we could even wash our clothes ;-) The location is reasonably close to the metro, and there are also many nice restaurants and spots in Testaccio and on the other side of the Tiber.

A little far to walk to tourist attractions with small children but taxi's were really good value for money and reasonably priced if you dont want to brave the bus/metro.

The only downside is distance to the underground and industrial ventilation that produces loud sounds throughout the day that makes you keep windows closed at all time.

There were extra charges for the use of the kitchenette (but you can still use the coffee facilities) and gym, also the rooftop bar was closed but this did not bother us.
