Unfortunately, the rooftop terrace was closed and appeared to be closed most of the time, which was a real shame given the beautiful views in the evening.

The location is perfect for all the major sites, staff were very helpful and although the bath rooms were dated(expected in older buildings) they we kept very clean and well appointed.

The staff is friendly and helpful, our room is cleaned every day.

Multiple items in the room came off the wall quite easily and there needs to be deep cleaning of the room to address splatters on the baseboards, rusting bath vanity unit etc.

Mould or damp6 of 2611 in 44 reviews

The hotel’s location was excellent and the suite itself was nicely done, clean, and comfortable for our family. That said, the ground floor—which is the lobby and family suite—had a noticeable damp, mildew-like smell.

Google, February 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

Slight mildew smell at the stairs from the lobby to the first level, but that does not AT ALL detract from the service or the value.

Booking network, December 2024, rated 9/10 by this guest
Complaints the hotel left unresolved4 of 2611 in 65 reviews

The last two nights of our five night stay, the air conditioning was turned off and we had to complain 3 times before we were finally told there was nothing that could be done and were given a fan.

Booking network, October 2025, rated 2/10 by this guest

We did let the reception know that the lights weren't working and they said they would fix it the next day but they never got fixed.
