When having lunch at the ground floor, there is no sign stating that tea is no included, when I was making tea half way, a staff just came over speak in Thai and snatch the tea away.

It was overall a good stay, except for the thing which wasn't pleasant was that the water for shower was perpetually cold even you turned the hot tap to the max or left the water running for 10 minutes.

While it's currently undergoing rebranding and renovation under the name JW, the staff's hospitality was superb, and I felt a sense of the "authenticity" that seems to be fading somewhat in recent Marriott hotels in Bangkok.
