Location1870Strength

Very good location if you want to do a lot of British museum.

Google, June 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

The hostel is next to the British Museum, which is especially convenient for walking to Soho/Chinatown, Westminster, and many other parts of London.

Google, August 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest
Staff18113Strength

Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, welcoming staff and friendly fellow travelers!

Booking network, December 2025, rated 9/10 by this guest

Value455Strength

For me, it’s a 10/10 in terms of price and location; I’d love to come back next year.

Google, October 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Basic but clean and central - good deal for london

Booking network, December 2025, rated 9/10 by this guest

The location and staff are good, but the rest doesn't justify the high price relative to the quality offered.

Google, September 2026, rated 2/5 by this guest
Cleanlinesscomplaints falling: 16.0 in 100 a year ago, 8.8 now8828Mostly good

The kitchen and lounge area were both great and the bathrooms were always kept quite clean.

Booking network, July 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

The kitchen is well-equipped and the bathrooms are clean.

Booking network, May 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest

Bathroom/showers could have been cleaner but Ben so not bad as far as hostels go.

Booking network, March 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest
Breakfast63Mostly good

Really reasonable cheap breakfast.

Booking network, June 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

I was pretty satisfied with the breakfast too, given how expensive it is to eat out in the city.

Booking network, May 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

In general, I thought it was a good hostel to sleep the 3 days I stopped here, it only seemed to me that the bathroom and the showers could be cleaner and that the "breakfast" they offer you, although it is cheap, is literally what you find in the kitchen and it is bread, cereal and juice.

Worst pillows out of 100s of hostels I've stayed at

Booking network, March 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

The mattresses are firm and an extra pillow would've been nice.

Booking network, September 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest

The pillows were so flimsy and limp

Booking network, July 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest
Room size911Split

rooms are super small and no place to breath but the location is beyond amazing

Booking network, July 2026, rated 5/10 by this guest

The British Museum is just across the street, the room is a bit cramped, and there are shared toilets and showers.

Google, October 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Room was small but window was half open and had a fan.

Booking network, August 2026, rated 7/10 by this guest
Quiet at nightcomplaints falling: 16.0 in 100 a year ago, 8.0 now1726Weak spot

Beds were a bit noisy and pillow quite flat but fine for one night

Booking network, April 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

But the room was just so so and too much noise to rest, the smell of air freshener is quite pungent.

Google, January 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

People in the room were making a lot of noise, even in the early hours of the morning, and they didn't turn off the light during the night.

Booking network, December 2025, rated 10/10 by this guest
Room conditioncomplaints falling: 16.0 in 100 a year ago, 5.8 now320Weak spot

For the price you pay, the quality was poor.it could do with a lick of paint and serious refurbishing.

Booking network, September 2026, rated 1/10 by this guest

Bed is a bit small, showers a bit old

Booking network, January 2026, rated 7/10 by this guest

However, the rooms and especially the bathrooms are quite dirty and very very old, with no basic utilities like to put your stuff.

Google, November 2025, rated 2/5 by this guest

Too few mentions to judge: views and food.
