no idea how anyone could complain about this little gem priced as a 1-2 star (in NYC) but a solid 3.5+ star with well appointed rooms and friendly staff.

This isn't really a negative, but the place was showing distinct decorative wear and tear.

Its age is starting to show with elevators that have buttons that kind of, but don't really light up or change, making it sometimes difficult to figure out if it's going to go where you expect.

The TV cable didn’t work at all the entire time we were there, the hallways were really loud with people and you could hear the outside street and garbage trucks at 1am every night.

Our bathroom door shattered and cut me in multiple different places.

Add to that a barn style bathroom door that wouldn’t stay closed, a shower that leaked all over the floor (a stone floor - VERY slick!), a dangerously sloped and uneven floor, and a very uncomfortable bed and, well, as clean and friendly as this location was, it was unacceptable.

I booked this hotel for one night , paid for the balcony room spent over $180 for one night & encountered BEDBUGS the picture shows the bed is still fully made never even got comfortable and they are lying saying they didn’t see anything and trying to deny my refund .
