Overall room is amazing, staff are attentive, and location can’t be beat.

Google, May 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Service is always excellent.

Tripadvisor, July 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

No doorman to help with bags, a dirty toilet and the housekeepers were banging about and vacuuming the hardwood floors at 8 am on a Sunday morning.

Google, May 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest
Breakfast6110Strength

And the breakfast is lovely as well.

Google, March 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

The complementary breakfast is far above what most hotels offer in terms of quality.

Booking network, December 2025, rated 10/10 by this guest

Breakfast choice a bit limited

Booking network, February 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

Beds276Mostly good

The rooms are small but have everything you need and the beds are incredibly comfortable.

Booking network, March 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

Loved the room, it was beautifully decorated, gorgeous aesthetic, comfy bed, windows opened which I always appreciate, continental breakfast was next level, even included a barista which was incredible.

Booking network, January 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

But, warning, the bed/mattress was extremely uncomfortable.

Google, September 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

Value513Weak spot

Frukosten ok men rummen för små i förhållande till priset

Booking network, April 2026, rated 7/10 by this guest

Crazy price for that size a room!

Booking network, May 2026, rated 5/10 by this guest

I love staying here and it’s the best hotel, but the prices have hiked up so much in a year - so rooms are expensive for their size.

Google, May 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest
Room condition316Weak spot

Charming, cozy old hotel immaculately renovated to make it a gem in NYC!

Google, October 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

What a Great Historic bldg to stay in , the Ambiance , and antique look of Originality, is wonderful

Google, June 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

It’s an old building (good charm!) but either mold or dust was bad for allergies.

Booking network, January 2026, rated 6/10 by this guest
Room size395Weak spot

Really nice hotel - rooms are tiny-tiny-tiny (though with a fairly large bathroom, weirdly enough)!

Google, February 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

The rooms are extremely small considering the price, but they are well appointed.

Booking network, July 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

The room was a bit too small for luggage after a week at sea, but other than that was perfect

Problems guests raised

Raised most: problems in the bathroom, in 6 of 292 reviews.

Problems in the bathroom6 of 2921 in 49 reviews

My only real complaints were bathroom related: extremely thin toilet paper, no vanity space, and the hot water in the showers never got “hot.” All things I can deal with though.

Google, March 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

No bath, only a leaking shower that continued dripping every other night.

Booking network, January 2026, rated 6/10 by this guest
Heating and air conditioning4 of 2921 in 73 reviews

Unheated freezing bathroom.

Tripadvisor, January 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

Too warm inside, both restaurant and rooms.

Booking network, January 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest
The lift3 of 2921 in 97 reviews

The rooms are small & the elevator is slow.

Booking network, April 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

To finish off the enigma, the Marlton went overboard with old school charm with a single rickety elevator and steep, narrow staircases and extremely narrow (but well wallpapered hallways) - evocative of older splendor but not all convenient for modern day travel.
