There’s a lot to love about the Hotel Chelsea: the spacious room, the comfortable bed, the in room nespresso machine, the location near the Whitney, Highline, Chelsea market, art galleries and public transit, the responsive staff (prior to check in, we requested a toaster be brought up to our room…

Problems guests raised

Raised most: expensive food and drinks, in 5 of 281 reviews.

Expensive food and drinks5 of 2811 in 56 reviews

The overpriced restaurants are unnecessary and they killed El Quijote the greatest Spanish restaurant in the United States for no reason.

Google, August 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest
Problems in the bathroom4 of 2811 in 70 reviews

The only issue I had, in late December, was the first morning shower was warm, then ice cold after a minute or two.

Google, January 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

Water in the shower was not very hot.

Booking network, April 2025, rated 9/10 by this guest
Unexpected charges and refunds3 of 2811 in 94 reviews

Booking network, February 2026, rated 5/10 by this guest

Oh, and actually, I dropped off my luggage at the front one morning because my room wasn't ready.

Google, August 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest
