Our room was on the 14th floor and the skyline view was the wrong side of the hotel for any interesting views, and as it was directly under the rooftop bar and restaurant it was VERY noisy in the room making it hard to sleep.

Unless you need a gym, this is the perfect spot with fabulous customer service and a delicious, happening restaurant on site.

We had a few poor experiences in the Madeira restaurant - wrong items were delivered to the table, some items didn't come at all and we were left waiting for over 20 minutes trying to get the bill to leave.

A dumpy old building with tiny rooms and the cheapest amenities they can buy, add it pretentiousness and apathetic management and voila you’ve got the treefort.

The cleaners don't know how to keep a door open when cleaning so you'll often hear doors slamming hundreds of times in the morning

The only downside of the hotel was that in the morning we had to wait about 10 minutes for hot water, and even then it wasn’t really hot — only up to 40 degrees.

We spent a fortune staying here a few months ago in June, excited to spend time in their rooftop bar, only to be told on arrival that we couldn’t use any of the facilities as they were all booked out - no rooftop bar for us, or in fact ANY bar!
