The rooms are, quite simply, perfect, beautifully designed, modern, and thoughtfully done, the kind of space you settle into immediately.

As of 2026, the hotel is quite modern and appears recently renovated / constructed.

Shout out to Kevin who always remembers my name - I tell people how kind he is and what a great place to stay this is.

Google, April 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

appreciated the welcoming staff.

Tripadvisor, July 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

stayed here a handful of times it’s a wonderful hotel but the problem can be with the staff and their communication skills, especially with the rooftop and the hostess informing me that I can’t come in because I have a T-shirt on which is ridiculous for a hotel bar.

Google, July 2026, rated 2/5 by this guest
Cleanlinesscomplaints rising: 1.1 in 100 a year ago, 7.0 now197Mostly good

The rooms are clean and modern.

Google, October 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

Housekeeping kept everything immaculate, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing.

Google, November 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

Bedding and towels were replaced, but everything else - from messy cables to trash and clothing items - was left untouched.

The bed was very comfortable, and the view from my room was truly outstanding.

Tripadvisor, May 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

Every detail feels intentional, from the decor to the comfort of the beds.

The bad - The bedding was uncomfortable such that I only got 2 hours sleep and woke with a sore neck.

Room size146Mostly good

Room was so spacious for NYC and had the most unreal view of lower manhattan right from our bed.

Tripadvisor, May 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

The rooms that I had on my stay were large and had a sofa and table.

Google, April 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Elegant rooms and top-tier service, though room sizes feel tight for the price and the surrounding area can be busy and noisy.

Google, December 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest
Breakfast73Mostly good

I enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant and drinks at the bar but would recommend arriving early because it does get packed.

Tripadvisor, October 2024, rated 5/5 by this guest

Booking network, January 2025, rated 10/10 by this guest

Nowhere to have a good breakfast in the hotel.

Booking network, October 2024, rated 7/10 by this guest
Quiet at night105Mostly good

It was so easy to get everywhere, but the hotel itself felt like a calm, luxurious retreat from the city buzz.

Tripadvisor, October 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

The Club Lounge is another standout: highly attentive and engaged attendants who maintain a peaceful environment whether to work or just relax.

Tripadvisor, July 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

Instead, it’s insanely loud, like concert inside your room loud.

Google, August 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest
Valuecomplaints rising: 4.6 in 100 a year ago, 7.0 now410Weak spot

The hotel is stylish, offers a chic bar scene, and a great location but the service simply doesn’t live up to the Ritz-Carlton name or the price point.

Tripadvisor, November 2025, rated 3/5 by this guest

The Nomad RC is well justified for the quality of the stay it provides and its incredible facilities and F&B options.

Tripadvisor, January 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

BUT - The value is unmatched.

Imagine waking up at 6:00am calling to ask for coffee capsules for the in-room coffee machine, then being completely ignored.

A slow check-incomplaints rising: 0.0 in 100 a year ago, 9.3 now8 of 1731 in 22 reviews

My only complaint is that our rooms were not ready upon arrival even though we were there fairly late in the afternoon.

Tripadvisor, January 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

Because we did not have a physical credit card for the deposit (only digital cards), the hotel refused to give us the room.

Google, December 2025, rated 1/5 by this guest
Problems in the bathroom6 of 1731 in 29 reviews

For example, no call for check in which was late, clogged shower drain, handles falling off tub, no cleaning service one day for no reason, small gym, wood paneling peeling in the rooms, staff opens entry doors for you maybe 30% of the time and if you aren’t somewhat strong you can’t get in.

Google, March 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

The bathroom handle fell off during the stay, visible water stains on a corner of the ceiling, and the tv completely broke when i was trying to watch a sports game.
