The room was a decent size, clean, with a comfortable bed and views of Times Square.

Pros: Bed was very comfortable.

Location1091Strength

Stayed here during our visit to New York for New Year’s Eve—seriously the best hotel to stay at near Times Square to see the ball drop.

Google, March 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

A perfect spot for seeing a show in the winter if you do not want to have to walk far in the cold!

Google, January 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

We are in the restaurant and the food was delicious too.

Google, August 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Amazing location, gorgeous rooms, restaurant was fantastic.

Google, February 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

• Room service is underwhelming compared to the on-property restaurant/bar.

Tripadvisor, January 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest
Views456Strength

The view from the suite was nice, but it's not the quality of a 5-star hotel for the price.

Google, December 2025, rated 1/5 by this guest

A nice hotel with a great view of the river and decent amenities.

Google, April 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

Despite availability of rooms facing Times Square, no room upgrade—or even a room with a view—was offered.

Tripadvisor, February 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest
Cleanliness6912Strength

Staff was fantastic, room cleaning service did a great job.

Google, December 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

I've stayed here before and thought the hotel was very nice and clean.

Google, February 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

The room cleaning was also inadequate.

Google, May 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest
Staff17342Mostly good

The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the location was perfect for exploring the city.

The staff were very friendly, the room was clean, and it was a nice view overlooking Times Square.

A modern, minimalist, very elegant and vibrant hotel, in a UNIQUE location!

Google, November 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

Very modern and chic and honestly faultess!

Tripadvisor, December 2025, rated 5/5 by this guest

This one in New York is nice but needs maintenance.

Breakfast125Mostly good

Good restaurant, loved the breakfast.

Quiet at nightcomplaints rising: 6.3 in 100 a year ago, 10.8 now2125Split

Charging exorbitant prices for mediocre room, non blackout curtains and extremely noisy location.

Google, September 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest

Great location on the sidewalks in Manhattan.

Google, June 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

At time, even though we're on the 36th floor, we can hear the street noises throughout the night and all the flashing lights from the billboard was impacting our sleep, but this is not hotels fault.

Google, May 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest
Value824Weak spot

Definitely can’t recommend the Times Square Edition, especially when you look at what you get for the price!

Google, May 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

The price paid applies only to the location!!

Tripadvisor, April 2025, rated 4/5 by this guest

Would’ve been great for 400.00 per night but over 600.00 per night!!!

Booking network, March 2025, rated 6/10 by this guest
Room size1152Weak spot

Rooms are extremely small, honestly shockingly small, right next to time square which makes if difficult to get in and out of the place due to severe traffic congestion, one of the lower quality Editions I have been to when comparing to the Edition Singapore , Rome etc which are absolutely Ultra…

Google, May 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest

They crammed as many 4x4 rooms as they could.

Google, August 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

I would say the only thing about rooms that they are very small.

Unexpected charges and refundscomplaints rising: 8.1 in 100 a year ago, 11.4 now28 of 2771 in 10 reviews

The destination fee is up to $40 per “day” (which you must use as soon as you arrive and cannot use on your last day), which they won’t tell you about when you check in.

Tripadvisor, May 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest

They will not explain the destination fee to you, even when you try to check in.

Google, May 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest
Complaints the hotel left unresolved18 of 2771 in 15 reviews

Left my glasses behind and was told there weren't any that was found.

Tripadvisor, December 2025, rated 2/5 by this guest
Expensive food and drinks15 of 2771 in 18 reviews

The destination fee includes 40$ daily credit but in room dining options were super expensive and it barely covered coffee and bottle of water.

Mini bar is extortionate.

Problems in the bathroomcomplaints rising: 3.6 in 100 a year ago, 6.0 now14 of 2771 in 20 reviews

Negatives: Bathroom is “part of the room.” Noise level was incredibly high - making it very difficult to sleep at night.

Tripadvisor, May 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

Only complaint is the bathroom has zero privacy 😂

Google, September 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest
Something broken in the room11 of 2771 in 25 reviews

I gave it 4 stars because the room layout was a bit awkward, 1 ply toilet paper was gross, the bathroom countertop was cracked, and a lamp was broken.

Google, December 2025, rated 4/5 by this guest

The TV was not working well.

Google, October 2025, rated 2/5 by this guest
Not as shown or booked8 of 2771 in 35 reviews

We were so disappointed with the room which was supposed to be deluxe.

This is a borderline 3 star hotel that poses and touts itself on Marriott website as a 5 star...
