A bit of a stain on the Hilton brand....This is literally the worst value for money place I have ever stayed in, and that is not fully explained by “this is NYC”.

The food in the bar area of the hotel was not great, fries too hard to eat, cinnamon roll completely hollow.

Don't be fooled, the restaurant is the bar area with a tiny kitchen at the end hidden with a curtain, food is terrible.

When I called for help regarding the constant noise at night (due to an all-out strike that was obviously no one's fault), the receptionist washed her hands of it in annoyance.

It is clearly an older facility that’s been updated a bit, but some of the accent furniture (desks, nightstands, etc) should probably be replaced.

I stayed one night at Distrikt Hotel New York City, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and was disappointed by the unexpected $29 mandatory “destination fee.” This charge was not clearly communicated during booking and only became apparent afterward, which felt misleading.

Bottomline, if The Distrikt was priced as a budget hotel and the website expectations were managed with accurate descriptions and accurate photos, it could be a great stay (location is fantastic).
