Just a few meters from Grand Central!

Google, January 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Good breakfast and safe location.

Booking network, May 2026, rated 7/10 by this guest

Since this was a sudden trip, most of the accommodations were sold out, so we ended up staying somewhere a bit further away from the main tourist attractions.

Google, March 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest
Cleanliness995Strength

Čistilka je vsak dan pospravila sobo in zamenjala brisače, kar je super.

Booking network, February 2026, rated 7/10 by this guest

The room was clean and big enough for 3 women to maneuver in.

Tripadvisor, October 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

Because of overall service (and very dirty and dusty carpet that my cats had an allergic reaction to!), and bar a handful of nice staff, we wouldn’t return anyway.

Booking network, September 2026, rated 4/10 by this guest
Staff18511Strength

The staff is very friendly.

Google, May 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

This is not a five star hotel, so It’s hard to rate it 5 stars, but it is very good for what it is: solid, clean, quiet accommodations in mid town, not far from Grand Central, and is there is an included buffet breakfast.

Tripadvisor, May 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest

As a first time guest who is unfamiliar with this hotel's practices, I didn't appreciate being laughed at.

Google, September 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

Quiet at night2114Mostly good

Nice breakfast every morning, there was construction going on in the street and even though we were on the second floor we couldn’t hear a thing!

Booking network, July 2026, rated 10/10 by this guest

Will be back if i want to avoid the hustle and bustle of nyc!

Tripadvisor, May 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

The sound isolation between rooms is not so good so, it is expected some noise during your stay.

Booking network, April 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest
Room condition612Weak spot

However, the hotel itself feels quite rundown and dated.

Google, May 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

Property a bit tired and worn.

Booking network, June 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

Its a bit cramped and the decor on the older side, but the location is great and its a solid economic option for New York.

Booking network, March 2026, rated 6/10 by this guest

Rooms/gym are a bit cramped but for New York it’s not the worst!

Problems guests raised

Raised most: unexpected charges and refunds, in 14 of 298 reviews.

Unexpected charges and refunds14 of 2981 in 21 reviews

They didn't notify me it was closed, didn't cancel the reservation, and didn't refund the money.

Google, July 2026, rated 1/5 by this guest

Was very surprised to find one had to purchase a mini fridge.

Booking network, January 2026, rated 7/10 by this guest
Building work during the stay9 of 2981 in 33 reviews

Besides the need for improvements in room comfort and the hotel itself (they were actually under construction), the $500 deposit is a drawback.

Google, March 2026, rated 3/5 by this guest

Construction across the street, not there fault.

Booking network, April 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest
A booking not honoured7 of 2981 in 43 reviews

The staff was so helpful and relocated me to a different hotel.

Google, July 2026, rated 5/5 by this guest

I liked that I was informed of the closure and my booking cancelled with no charges

Booking network, August 2026, rated 4/10 by this guest
Problems in the bathroom7 of 2981 in 43 reviews

Breakfast options were limited, sliding bathroom door resulting in suboptimal privacy

Booking network, May 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

The shower is an issue with no hot water, barely warm.

Booking network, December 2025, rated 8/10 by this guest
Something broken in the room7 of 2981 in 43 reviews

USB chargers weren't working in the room and you need to pay to store anything over 1 bag per person

Booking network, June 2026, rated 8/10 by this guest

My only complaint was that the USB ports did not work in our room to charge our cell phones.

Google, April 2026, rated 4/5 by this guest
The lift6 of 2981 in 50 reviews

Long wait at the elevator and the food options for breakfast.

Booking network, June 2026, rated 9/10 by this guest

Only thing to consider: the elevators at peak times are often full, so it's worth calculating a few more minutes if you're in a hurry.

A physical hazard1 of 298 reviews

Terrible experience- Room was extremely small, felt unsafe because balcony door didn’t lock and they had duck tape on the hole instead of replacing or fixing the lock (very unsafe), microwave was broke (so had to throw all my food away), kitchen area for breakfast is entirely too small, and bed…
